About the Role:
As a Tax Manager, you will hold a pivotal role in ensuring the performance of a highly efficient department, delivering an industry-leading service to our clients. Your responsibilities will include supporting Directors in securing work, effectively managing a team, and fostering a positive organisational culture in alignment with our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing the day-to-day activities of the department to ensure work is delivered within the budget and timeframes set.
Recruiting and developing a skilled and dedicated team who deliver a quality service to clients.
Designing and implementing planning processes to ensure department schedules meet customer needs and statutory deadlines.
Reviewing team files to ensure all standards, quality, and compliance requirements are met and issues identified.
Facilitating communications between the team and directors to ensure important information is received and acted upon.
Giving feedback on the quality and standard of work produced and highlighting areas for development.
Developing technical knowledge and utilising it to complete more bespoke client work and to develop colleagues.
Building strong relationships with Directors, team members, and clients to facilitate the completion of work to deadline.
Ensuring the correct client documentation is secured in a timely and efficient manner so deadlines can be met.
Attending external events and client meetings to develop your own client network and contacts.
Developing and communicating business plans, opportunities, and ideas for improvement to Directors to ensure the continued growth and progression of the department.
Key Requirements:
CR - CPI or ACCA/ACA A&A - ACA/ACCA Tax - ATT desirable but not mandatory.
