Description
As a Tax Manager, you will hold a pivotal role in ensuring the performance of a highly efficient department, delivering an industry-leading service to our clients. Your responsibilities will include supporting Directors in securing work, effectively managing a team, and fostering a positive organisational culture in alignment with our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day activities of the department to ensure work is delivered within the budget and timeframes set.
- Recruiting and developing a skilled and dedicated team who deliver a quality service to clients.
- Designing and implementing planning processes to ensure department schedules meet customer needs and statutory deadlines.
- Reviewing team files to ensure all standards, quality, and compliance requirements are met and issues identified.
- Facilitating communications between the team and directors to ensure important information is received and acted upon.
- Giving feedback on the quality and standard of work produced and highlighting areas for development.
- Developing technical knowledge and utilising it to complete more bespoke client work and to develop colleagues.
- Building strong relationships with Directors, team members, and clients to facilitate the completion of work to deadline.
- Ensuring the correct client documentation is secured in a timely and efficient manner so deadlines can be met.
- Attending external events and client meetings to develop your own client network and contacts.
o Developing and communicating business plans, opportunities, and ideas for improvement to o o o Directors to ensure the continued growth and progression of the department.
Key Requirements
CR - CPI or ACCA/ACA A&A - ACA/ACCA Tax - ATT desirable but not mandatory.
