Working within the Group Finance function and reporting to the Group Head of Tax & Treasury, you will provide support in key areas of focus for the Group Finance team including tax compliance and reporting, process improvements and assisting with the design and implementation of tax projects as part of the Tax and Treasury team.



The ideal candidate will be ACA (or equivalent) qualified with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience. CTA would be beneficial but not essential. You will be a flexible, highly motivated individual who is willing to work in the detail of a project within a fast-moving environment. Ideally, you will be from a Top Tier firm or be looking for your next step up from an in-house position.



In this role, you will work with the Group Tax team in understanding and managing the tax agenda with key stakeholders across the business. You will also assist in supporting relationships with external advisors and tax authorities.


Key Responsibilities




Preparation of UK corporation tax returns and management of outsourced compliance as required, and working on the Group's IFRS and UK FRS101 tax reporting Work with the local finance teams on data input, collection and process improvement to ensure that relevant tax information is collected in a timely and efficient manner Assisting in the planning & implementation of a range of projects including transfer pricing design and documentation, R&D claims and other ad hoc projects Work on the Group's response to BEPS developments and reporting across Europe Support in the preparation and update of governance and risk documents (such as Senior Accounting Officer and Corporate Criminal Offence), and involvement in the preparation and maintenance of the group's tax strategy, policies and training Assist in other tax areas including employment taxes and VAT Keeping up to date with developments in the tax space so the business is aware of the impact of any new requirements, including through training and continuous review of the policies, processes and systems used for tax reporting across the region

Key Skills




ACA or equivalent and CTA beneficial with at least 2 years PQE in a comparable professional services or in-house environment A solid understanding of UK tax principles, preferably with some tax experience gained in respect of more than one jurisdiction in EMEA Ability to operate in a growing organisation, showing adaptability and demonstrating the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to effectively manage competing priorities to ensure delivery of the most critical tasks within appropriate timelines A high-level understanding of employment tax and VAT matters would also be beneficial The ability to build and maintain excellent relationships Strong communication skills and an ability to explain tax concepts to the business. Be a strong team player with the flexibility to work across a number of projects and workstreams Proficiency with MS Office, including an advanced level of skill in MS Excel
