THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for an Interim Tax Manager (UK and M&A) to become part of a fast-growing global business, based in London. This is a varied role, where you will manage the UK tax function (reporting into the Director of Group Tax) and also be involved in global transactional and advisory work, working closely with the legal and corporate development teams.

WHAT YOU\'LL DO

  • Collaborate with the Director of Group Tax to provide valuable tax advice to the business in relation to international projects such as acquisitions, divestments, restructuring, financing and expansion into new territories. This may include assisting with tax due diligence processes (buy-side and sell-side), tax modelling, determining tax efficient structures and planning for the integration of new businesses;
  • Liaise with advisors to prepare and file the UK corporate tax returns, performing specific analysis in-house;
  • Prepare of the current and deferred tax accounting disclosures for the UK statutory financial statements;
  • Own the UK tax governance processes, including SAO and SOX compliance;
  • Own all UK tax related group P&L and Balance Sheet numbers as part of the month end and quarterly processes;
  • Assist in evaluating, monitoring and mitigating tax compliance risks including advising of where changes in tax laws will affect the group.
WHO YOU ARE
  • You are a qualified Accountant or Tax advisor and have at least 1-2+ years post-qualification experience;
  • You have experience providing tax advice on international M&A and financing transactions;
  • You possess general knowledge and experience of international tax principles as well in IFRS, UK GAAP, reporting and tax accounting;
  • You have experience in UK corporation tax compliance;
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to learn and continue to develop;
  • You possess strong organisational and project management skills.
