Who are we looking for?



We're seeking an enthusiastic, positive and well-organised individual with strong communication skills. Ideally, you'll have:

At least two years' experience in a similar tax role would be preferred Or you may be an experienced accountant looking to transition into tax Professional qualifications such as ATT, CTA, AAT, ACA or ACCA are preferred (or be working towards) Alternatively, we'll also consider qualified by experience (QBE) candidates

What's the opportunity?



You'll primarily manage compliance matters for a portfolio of personal tax clients. There will also be opportunities to get involved in tax research and advisory work, particularly relating to:

Income tax Capital gains tax Inheritance tax

What you'll be doing:



Day to day management of your own portfolio of clients including HNW individuals, company directors, sole traders, professional partnerships and trusts. Client facing. Preparation of self-assessment personal tax returns. Reviewing work carried out by more junior members of the team. Preparation of forms P11d (return of benefits and expenses). Carry out tax research and summarise findings. Checking HM Revenue & Customs correspondence and communications issued to the client. Representing the client in the event of an HM Revenue & Customs investigation. Written and verbal communications with clients and HM Revenue & Customs. Working to weekly/monthly/quarterly deadlines as part of the wider team. Helping to prepare blogs and articles relevant to your area of work when required.
