About the Role:
A4G are looking for a Tax Senior with at least four years' experience in practice to join our team. The successful candidate will support both senior accountants and partners with technical tax queries, while also managing their own portfolio of private clients. This role is suited to someone who is detail-oriented and has a genuine interest in helping clients navigate complex tax matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide advice to colleagues on a range of tax issues, including Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, VAT, and aspects of Corporate Taxation
Manage and advise a portfolio of private clients, ensuring timely and accurate compliance and advisory services
Draft clear, concise advice and correspondence for clients and internal use
Assist the Self-Assessment Return team with complex returns and general matters of organisation
Assist in identifying planning opportunities and risk areas for clients and internal teams
Keep up to date with tax legislation and guidance, applying this knowledge practically
Work under the supervision of a CTA-qualified manager, with access to further technical support where required
Candidate Profile:
Solid understanding of UK tax across a broad range of taxes including Income tax, CGT, IHT, VAT, and Corporation Tax)
Comfortable working with both clients directly and in a supporting advisory role to colleagues
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to apply technical knowledge practically
Confident written and verbal communication
Professional, approachable, and motivated to deliver helpful, accurate advice
Capable with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience of using Iris Tax Production useful but not essential
Support & Development:
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a CTA-qualified senior and have access to technical resources and ongoing development opportunities. We are happy to support those considering further study or specialisation.

Working hours of Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm - 37.5 hours per week

Competitive salary between 30,000 to 40,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
Optional - Study package to complete the CTA qualification, which includes up to 30 days paid study leave per year and all course costs paid
