What you'll do (the role)





Summary





The Tax & Transfer Pricing Manager will be responsible for international tax compliance of the Group including transfer pricing.





Please be aware this position will be for a 14 month Fixed Term period covering Maternity leave.





Responsibilities of the Role


Provide transfer pricing advice and support including advice on application of transfer pricing laws and practice on all of Lightsource bp's intercompany transactions in current and new markets, in particular: Provide tax advice in respect of inter company funding arrangements including interest rate benchmarking and debt capacity analyses, and pricing of guarantees (including any thin cap / interest restriction calculations required for tax compliance aspects) Benchmarking to support development fees Review and support inter company service charges including working with the legal team to ensure correct documentation of intercompany agreements Manage contemporaneous transfer pricing documentation including the Lightsource bp's group's master file and local transfer pricing documentation for all major intercompany transactional streams Manage and approve the UK and overseas tax compliance filings for related party transactions, including managing the data requirements between internal teams and the external advisers Support the M&A team during project acquisitions and divestments by providing advice from a transfer pricing/international tax perspective Act as Country Tax Manager for certain APAC countries to oversee direct tax compliance and reporting matters on CIT, WHT et al and support internally with wider cross functional teams on tax DD activity, tax planning, and tax audits. Assistance with tax authority transfer pricing enquiries and audit defense Monitoring OECD and local country developments for new transfer pricing compliance requirements and the implementation of these Support the business in adhering to changes in global tax legislation in a timely manner and changes are communicated to relevant internal departments

Experience & Knowledge Required




Qualified tax professional with 6 years + post qualified experience Preferably in-house MNC experience of implementing and maintaining transfer pricing policies and documentation Technically up to date with a good understanding of international taxation legislation and standards with respect to transfer pricing Strong UK GAAP and IFRS tax accounting knowledge beneficial International experience / exposure essential Wider corporate international tax experience and knowledge of issues such as corporate interest restriction, CFC, DAC 6 beneficial Ability to initiate and lead a project through to a successful completion engaging stakeholders throughout the process The ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment Able to meet tight timeframes and drive continuous improvements
