Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable Taxi Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation services to our customers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. This role includes Home to School Transport Services and the option to work overtime on all aspects of Private Hire, ensuring passengers reach their destinations comfortably and securely.

Responsibilities

Safely operate the taxi vehicle in accordance with traffic laws and company policies Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations promptly Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, including routine checks and basic maintenance tasks Communicate effectively with passengers to understand their needs and provide assistance when required Manage fare transactions accurately and issue receipts as necessary Plan routes efficiently to optimise travel time and fuel consumption Ensure passenger safety at all times, including during loading, unloading, and transit Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including COVID-19 protective measures where applicable

Qualifications

Valid driver's Licence. CCBC Taxi Badge. Must be able to pass a DBS check. Ability to handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers or managing luggage Excellent communication skills to interact courteously with diverse customers Good knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns, and navigation tools Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge for routine checks and minor repairs Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required
