Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable Taxi Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation services to our customers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. This role involves navigating urban and rural routes, ensuring passenger safety, and maintaining the vehicle in optimal condition. Applicants must hold a valid driver's licence and have experience in commercial driving environments.

Duties

Safely operate taxi vehicles to transport passengers to various destinations within the city and surrounding areas Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, ensuring comfort and safety at all times Maintain a clean and well-presented vehicle, including routine cleaning and basic maintenance checks Follow all traffic laws and regulations, adhering to scheduled pick-up and drop-off times Communicate effectively with passengers to confirm destinations and provide local information if required Handle cash or electronic payments accurately and issue receipts as necessary Keep records of trips, mileage, and fuel consumption for reporting purposes Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly to the management team

Experience

Proven experience as a driver, preferably with commercial driving or delivery background Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience with passenger transport is advantageous Familiarity with local routes, traffic patterns, and navigation systems Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as checking tyre pressure, oil levels, and lights Strong communication skills with the ability to interact courteously with diverse customers Physical capability for heavy lifting when assisting passengers or handling luggage if necessary
