Overview

At Banyards Taxis we are seeking a reliable and professional Taxi Driver to join our team. Banyards Taxis are looking for driver for weekday nights and weekends. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation services to passengers while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong understanding of local routes, and the ability to communicate effectively with passengers. There is also potential for drivers to become employed due driver productivity.

Shift pattern

This role is based on a 16 hour per week basis. Working hours will consist of four, six and eight hour shifts. Shift pattern will be discussed upon interview

Duties

Transport passengers to their desired destinations in a safe and timely manner. Maintain knowledge of local traffic laws, routes, and regulations to ensure compliance. Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle, including heavy lifting when necessary. Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition by performing regular checks and basic maintenance at all times. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with passengers in a friendly and professional manner. Handle payment transactions accurately and efficiently. Report any accidents or incidents to the appropriate authorities as required. All training provided on site for drivers.

Requirements

Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience as a commercial driver is preferred. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and provide assistance when needed. Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers with luggage or other items. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices to ensure optimal performance of the taxi. A good understanding of local geography and traffic patterns is essential for efficient navigation. Five year medical summary from local GP Undergo a medical exam to ensure fit to drive Safeguarding Course Enhanced DBS check
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 21.21 per hour
