Taxi Driver

A Babergh District Council Taxi Licence would be required (which includes an Online Safeguarding course, and an attended introduction to Taxi driving course, a D4 Medical, a Driving assessment & an English test. (costs apply and these are only applicable if you are new to having a Babergh taxi licence). A good knowledge of the local area is an advantage. The driver would be required to use taxi ranks in between booked work that is given out from our office based in Long Melford, we also require the candidate to cover airport transfers / some long distance journeys, this will therefore include a varied working timetable. We provide a friendly reliable service which may include helping customers to and from the car with their shopping/luggage etc. We carry out many local journeys in and around Sudbury and Long Melford but also regularly traveling to towns such as Bury St Edmunds, Colchester & Ipswich. We can look at this being an employed or self-employed position.

If you do not have a valid Babergh District Taxi Licence, you would need to complete and pass a 2 day introduction to taxi driving course (costs apply). (Due to insurance requirments) You must be a minimum of 25 years old
