We are excited to be recruiting a Tuberculosis (TB) Nurse to work in our north Kent team. We are seeking someone with excellent communication skills, who enjoys the challenge of working with socially and medically complex patients in a community setting and who is passionate about advocating for our patients. We care for adults, children and babies, through case management, screening clinics, BCG vaccination and health promotion. The post will involve visiting people in their own homes, clinics and some outreach work as well as phone and virtual appointments.



The role will primarily involve caring for patients in north Kent but may involve some wider travel in Kent for training and meetings. The post holder will work closely with our specialist TB nurses but will also need to be able to work autonomously.

The TB Nursing Service is a community-based specialist team who has a dual role to prevent and treat TB. This includes delivering national BCG vaccination programme, undertaking TB screening and supporting the diagnosis and treatment of people with active TB.



Our service provides care for all age groups - both adults and children in east and north Kent. We support and advise patients in their own homes, clinics and outreach settings and provide education and training for other healthcare professionals and the public.



We work closely with stakeholders including the acute trust, primary care, public health, social services and voluntary organisations.
