INTO Manchester is looking to appoint a Business Studies Teacher to support delivery of the International Foundation Year. This role focuses on providing high-quality, face-to-face teaching to international students following the Northern Consortium (NCUK) syllabus. The successful candidate will deliver lectures, seminars and tutorials across programmes of varying intensity, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of learners from a wide range of cultural and language backgrounds.

The postholder will plan and deliver lessons, prepare and use appropriate teaching resources, and ensure teaching is aligned with the agreed scheme of work. They will be responsible for marking formative and summative assessments within required deadlines, maintaining accurate academic and attendance records, and providing clear written and verbal feedback to students, programme teams and other stakeholders. Regular engagement with staff meetings, student representatives and the wider academic team forms an important part of the role.

The teacher will provide guidance to students on study skills, academic expectations and progression, and will support the Programme Manager with reporting when required. They will also contribute to the wider life of the Centre, including providing teaching cover when needed and taking part in elements of the social programme where relevant. Participation in the INTO Performance Cycle, including classroom observations and review processes, is an essential part of the position.

This role involves close working with colleagues across the centre and, when necessary, with other functional areas such as marketing, finance and student services, as well as external stakeholders including parents and partner university contacts. A maximum of 25 contact hours per week applies for full-time teachers.
