are hiring a qualified and passionate teacher to join a specialist school in East Sussex. This part-time role involves working with pupils aged 7 to 18 who have a range of additional needs, including social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges and autism spectrum conditions (ASC).
The successful candidate will teach primarily across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on English. The ability to contribute to the delivery of other core subjects such as Maths or Science would be a strong advantage.

Key responsibilities include

:

Teaching KS3 and KS4 Planning and delivering differentiated lessons Supporting the wider curriculum, including other core subjects if required Encouraging pupil engagement, independence and achievement Contributing to a positive behaviour culture within the school Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Proven teaching experience, ideally across KS3 and KS4 Experience supporting children with SEMH and ASC Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills Good knowledge of the National Curriculum, especially English Flexibility to teach additional subjects such as Maths or Science Reflective and therapeutic approach to teaching Committed to inclusive education and safeguarding practices
