Helm Academy is an innovative new SEN school dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children with diverse learning needs. As a specialist children's home provider, our successful organic growth has led us to expand our mission, and we are excited to open our first Independent SEN & SEMH Specialist Schools (11-16) offering an alternative curriculum to young people with a range of SEMH special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN.
Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, caregivers, and support staff.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and well-being.
Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and support to facilitate growth.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall learning experience.
Participate in professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant teaching experience, preferably in a SEN setting.
Strong understanding of the challenges faced by children with SEN and effective strategies to support their learning.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
