What you'll be doing:

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge children and young people. Foster a positive learning environment that supports children and young people's educational and personal growth. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support. Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to ensure student success. Participate in school activities, extracurricular programs, and professional development opportunities.

What we're looking for:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) A qualification in SEND education is desirable. Experience of working with children with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and social emotional and mental health needs is ideal but applications from those working in mainstream settings are very welcome Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching methods.

Who are we?

Mapesbury School is our newest Special Educational Needs school in in Cricklewood, Brent. Our small school will support children aged between 7 to 16 years with Autism and associated conditions who have not been able to access education in a mainstream or specialist setting and would benefit from an integrated therapeutic approach to education. Pupils will have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) but may not yet have a diagnosis, though they display traits of Autism and associated conditions.



Mapesbury School is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
