Synergy Education are looking to recruit Teachers for a Special Needs School based in Merthyr, South Wales

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment, encouraging student engagement, and delivering high-quality instruction tailored to the needs of diverse learners. This role requires a commitment to student development and an ability to inspire a love for learning.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards. Assess and evaluate student progress through regular assessments and feedback. Create a supportive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and inclusivity. Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and behaviour. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices. Collaborate with fellow educators to share resources, strategies, and insights for improving student outcomes. Manage classroom behaviour effectively while ensuring a safe and productive learning atmosphere.

Requirements

A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) is essential. Strong understanding of the curriculum and educational standards relevant to the teaching role. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students effectively. Experience working with children or young adults in an educational setting is preferred. Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in lesson planning and assessment documentation. A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that supports all students' needs.
