About the role
We are looking for a talented and passionate teacher to deliver 3D Design at Key Stage 3, up to Key Stage 4 for the right candidate. The ideal applicant will be enthusiastic about encouraging creativity and confidence in students of all abilities and committed to maintaining our department's inclusive and progressive approach.
The Visual Arts Department is a fully equipped department that is taught via specialist teachers from Year 7 to Year 11. All students take part in individual Art and Design lessons during KS3 as well as doing 3D Design, Ceramics, Photography, Printmaking, Textiles and Food Technology on a rotational basis. Many students opt to take at least one GCSE within the Visual Arts Department choosing between 3D Design, Fine Art, Photography, Textiles and Food Technology.
The successful candidate will be a part of a team of full time and part-time teachers, most of whom are practicing artists. A team player with the ability to communicate well with colleagues and students is essential, to enable the happy and creative working environment to continue.
Who we are looking for:
This role would suit an experienced 3D Teacher or recent graduate, and the successful candidate would be required to fulfil the requirements listed in the Key Responsibilities below
Key Responsibilities:
Teach 3D Design to years 7-11.
Facilitate a wide variety of media to develop experimentation and learning.
Provide excellent, inspirational, and dedicated teaching in a safe and stimulating environment.
Familiarize students with historical and contemporary artists, their styles, techniques and working methods.
oUse, develop and incorporate ICT in conjunction with your teaching and student learning o Organise and develop studio atmosphere.
Plan lessons and schemes of work both independently and collaboratively with the Visual Arts Department that address the various needs of our individual pupils and as collective, diverse cohorts.
