The Opportunity
Teacher of Art and Photography
Fixed term, 1 January 2026 - 31 August 2026
Part time, 0.6 FTE/19.5 hours per week over 3 days) (0.8 considered)
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated colleague with the ability to teach Art at KS3 to KS5 and Photography at KS4. This exciting role is suitable for either an experienced practitioner or newly qualified ECT Teacher. We welcome applications from those without prior A level experience with the knowledge and ability to learn quickly to develop skills in this area.
The Faculty of Design, Art and Technology is a successful and popular faculty with pupils of all abilities and makes a significant contribution to preparing pupils for future careers. As a faculty we also offer Product design, Engineering design, Food preparation & nutrition, Music as well as Art and Design (fine art/photograpghy/textiles) across the year groups to make sure all students have a fully rounded curriculum offer. The ability to teach food desirable.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a strong appreciation for the arts and a creative flair, along with technical expertise in a variety of artistic materials and techniques, with a commitment to academic excellence. You will be able to plan and deliver high quality lessons and be committed to achieving excellent results for students, instilling in them a love for the subject and a desire to learn. QTS essential.
