Responsibilities:

  • Deliver dynamic and engaging art and photography lessons to students across various age groups, igniting their creativity and encouraging their artistic development.
  • Teach a wide range of artistic techniques, styles, and mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and photography.
  • Foster an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that inspires students to explore their artistic potential and express their unique perspectives.
  • Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that align with the school\'s curriculum and educational objectives.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students, supporting their artistic growth and helping them to refine their technical skills.
  • Organize and curate student exhibitions and showcases, celebrating their artistic achievements and promoting a sense of pride and accomplishment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to organize art-related events, trips, and workshops, enriching students\' cultural experiences.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events to contribute to the vibrant school community.
Requirements:
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, specializing in Art and/or Photography.
  • A strong background in art and photography, preferably with a relevant bachelor\'s degree or higher.
  • Demonstrated passion for teaching and nurturing creativity, with experience in delivering high-quality art and photography education.
  • Proficiency in a variety of artistic techniques and mediums, including traditional and digital art, as well as darkroom and digital photography.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes artistic exploration and experimentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest developments in art and photography education.
