Teacher of Art
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Salary: 125 - 160 per day
Start Date: September 2025
GSL Education are currently looking for Teacher of Art to work at Client Secondary Schools in York area, starting in September 2025.
Teacher of Art Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Art lessons in line with the national curriculum, tailored to a range of abilities.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment.
- Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a culture of respect and enthusiasm for the arts.
- Collaborate with the Art department and wider staff to organise exhibitions.
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- A degree in Art, Fine Art, Design, or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Art at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
