Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Computer Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in computer science and a passion for teaching. The Computer Teacher will also be responsible for integrating technology into the curriculum, ensuring students gain practical skills alongside theoretical knowledge.

Duties

Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cater to various learning styles and abilities. Teach computer science concepts, including programming, software applications, and digital literacy. Provide mentoring and tutoring to students to enhance their understanding of computer-related subjects. Utilise behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive classroom environment. Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations, providing constructive feedback. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology across the curriculum. Engage in scientific research related to educational methodologies in computer science. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with technological advancements and teaching strategies.

Requirements

Proven experience in teaching or tutoring with a focus on computer science or related fields. Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to students. Background in biochemistry or laboratory experience is advantageous but not essential. Familiarity with proofreading academic work and providing constructive feedback. Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively while promoting a positive learning atmosphere. Experience working with special education students is a plus. A solid understanding of mathematics as it relates to computer science principles. A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports all learners.
