Job Description

A highly over-subscribed secondary school and Sixth Form in South Yorkshire, which achieved an Outstanding Ofsted rating in all aspects of provision, is seeking an ambitious and talented Computer Science Teacher for a permanent, full-time position, starting January 2026.
Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional lessons in Computer Science based on a carefully constructed, sequenced, and ambitious curriculum, focusing on academic excellence.
• Teach demanding and carefully planned content in a traditional style, ensuring pupils master content, build strong foundations, and are prepared for GCSE and beyond.
• Secure outstanding learning, retention, progress, and attainment for every pupil, especially the most disadvantaged.
• Contribute to the pupil elective and enrichment programme, engaging in all aspects of school life with integrity and kindness.
• Work with diligence to overcome obstacles and maintain the school's effective and positive culture.

Requirements

• A relevant degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Commitment to the school's core values of kindness, integrity, and diligence.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver lessons focused on learning, retention, and the mastery of disciplinary knowledge in Computer Science.

• Salary: Paid on the national Teachers' Pay Scales, commensurate with experience.
