ABOUT THE ROLE
Working days will be Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
Please note that this role is a fixed-term maternity cover for up to 1 year, or on return of the substantive postholder.
The DT department consists of five staff who teach a range of subjects from Year 9 through to Year 13. The DT block is well resourced, with classes having ready access to IT including 2D and 3D CAD software, CNC laser cutter and plotters. The department consists of a range of hard material workshops including metal work bay. The curriculum is varied and covers KS3 Design Technology and Food Technology. At KS4 students have options of GCSE DT and Art and Design: 3D Design, with the A-level offering now being Art and Design: 3D Design. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and be skilled in delivering highly engaging lessons in KS3, GCSE and A level to ambitious, creative and aspirational students.

Be able to demonstrate strong subject knowledge across a range of DT specialisms
Understanding of the latest developments within the DT curriculum

Be an effective team player who can contribute to a collaborative and supportive working environment.
Have the ability to teach theoretical and practical elements of DT to a high standard
