Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Teacher of English to join our team. Applications are welcome from NQTs/ECTs as well as experienced teachers.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons at Key Stages 4 and 5, inspiring students and equipping them with essential language and analytical skills for future success.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that foster student understanding and enthusiasm for English.
Ensure high standards of teaching and learning, supporting strong student attainment.
Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners, promoting inclusion and academic excellence.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum innovations and best teaching practices.
Maintain effective communication with parents and carers, encouraging student progress and engagement.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have: QTS and a good honours degree in English or a related subject.
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong communication skills, with confidence in using technology effectively in teaching.
A proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons and excellent student outcomes.
A commitment to maintaining high personal and professional standards, serving as a positive role model.
