We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Geography.


The focus at Park Vale Academy is on outstanding achievement for every student through maintaining a culture of extremely high expectations in relation to student conduct and attitudes. Consequently, academic results have improved significantly since the school re-opened in 2016 and the last OFSTED inspection (2024) graded the school as good in every category.


To be successful in the role, you will have:

QTS Degree level qualification (subject specific) Able to teach the full range of ability 11-16 Able to maintain high standards of discipline Able to use a range of strategies to promote learning Able to manage and encourage good behaviour Able to make appropriate use of ICT for learning Understanding of how to use data to inform planning and improve students' performance Understanding of a range of assessment for learning approaches, including grades where appropriate Able to communicate with students, parents and carers about pupil's progress

Park Vale Academy is part of Redhill Academy Trust. The Academy is also a member of Redhill College of Leadership and Development and as such there are excellent CPD opportunities and a chance to work alongside colleagues from other high-performing schools in the region. The Trust also leads the regional Teaching School Hub, delivering local teacher training and the National Professional Qualifications for teachers.
