Connex Education is working with a popular Secondary School in Middlesbrough who are recruiting for a Qualified Teacher to teach Health & Social Care with some lessons of Criminology

The school is very popular within Middlesbrough and are currently looking for someone who shares their passion for education to carry out Health & Social Care lessons for key stages 3 and 4. The school will consider part or full time.
The school offers a friendly atmosphere with a motivated team of teachers focused on student progress. They are looking for a H&S Care Teacher who is hard working, resilient and who wants to make a difference to pupils education. The right candidate will be able to confidently step into the department and continue teaching the existing schemes of work.
Assignment Details
This role will commence in January 2026 and will last for the remainder of the academic year

Person Specification

• must be 21 and over
• Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
• PGCE in Health & Social Care or related subject from a recognized provider
• You must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one
• Have experience teaching H&S Care in a UK secondary school setting.
• Be able to plan and deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 H&S Care lessons across ability ranges.
• Be passionate about instilling a love of Humanities
• Have excellent behaviour management and classroom control skills.
