Job Description

Bristol Grammar School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative teacher to join our Mathematics department in September 2025. This is a one year fixed term part-time (0.5 FTE) position.


This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable mathematician to make a contribution to a strong and committed department.


In Years 7 and 8, we follow the Pearson Active Teach course and then prepare pupils for the Edexcel International GCSE which we feel is ideally suited to the needs of our pupils. Over 100 students study Mathematics in the Sixth Form, including 30 - 40 who take up the Further Mathematics option, and others who take the Core Maths options. Each member of the department has the opportunity of teaching all aspects (pure, mechanics and statistics) in their Sixth Form teaching


The person appointed will be expected to be able to teach Mathematics from Year 7 through to A Level Mathematics.
