Salary Details: FTE 32,916 - 45,352 plus 2,787 SEN allowance

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic primary trained with a maths interest or Key Stage 3 maths teacher to start in January 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small team of committed professionals and further develop the maths provision at Glenwood School. The role is full-time, although part-time may be considered.


You may already have experience of working within a maths department and we can offer a supportive environment which will develop your personal and professional skills in a new setting.


Glenwood School is a Secondary Special School for pupils aged 11-16 who have moderate/severe learning difficulties. This includes pupils with autism and communication difficulties.


We follow the National Curriculum and our KS4 pupils gain accreditation at either Entry Level or GCSE.


Applicants must be qualified teachers, either primary or secondary level, preferably with experience of working with pupils with SEN. This may be in either special or mainstream provision. Applications are welcome from primary trained candidates who have an in-depth knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 maths curriculum. Candidates will have up to date knowledge of the key principles underpinning a mastery curriculum and be skilled at using concrete materials, model and images to support our pupils to develop a deeper knowledge of mathematics.


The role also includes tutor responsibilities.
