Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
Teach Mathematics from KS3 to KS4 (GCSE Level) delivering lessons that are engaging, challenging, and aligned with the national curriculum and exam board requirements.
Demonstrate a deep knowledge of subject content and effective pedagogy, including the use of appropriate resources and strategies.
Maintain a stimulating, inclusive classroom environment with high standards of display and presentation of students' work.
Actively contribute to the development of a dynamic Mathematics curriculum and enrichment opportunities.
Uphold excellent behaviour management in line with the school's values and policies.
Assessment and Reporting
Monitor, assess, and report on students' academic progress, identifying needs and tailoring support accordingly.
Mark work constructively and regularly, providing feedback that helps students make sustained progress.
Keep detailed records of student attainment, effort, and behaviour.
Collaborate with colleagues, including learning support and pastoral staff, to provide holistic support to students.
Whole School Contribution
Promote and uphold the school's Islamic ethos, vision and values.
Act as a role model in personal conduct, punctuality, and professionalism.
Participate in school events, open days, CPD sessions, and staff development programmes.
Safeguard and promote the welfare of students at all times.

What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or international equivalent
Experience teaching Mathematics at KS3 and GCSE level
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum design
A passion for Mathematics and enthusiasm for inspiring students

Islamia Girls' School is a semi-selective, Muslim secondary school without sixth form, situated in Queen's Park, north-west London. The girls' school is independent and, along with the boys' secondary school, Brondesbury College, is part of Islamia Schools Ltd, a subsidiary of the Yusuf Islam Foundation. Islamia Girls' School provides up to 160 places for secondary students between the ages of 11 and 16.
