The post is available from 1 January 2026 on a fixed-term, part-time basis until 31 August 2026 (38.10% to 57.14%). The post would equally suit an experienced or Early Careers Teacher (ECT). There are over 500 students studying A Level Maths, around 80 studying A Level Further Maths and approximately 60 resitting GCSE Maths.
The Department has an excellent record of outstanding student achievement, high quality provision and innovative curriculum development. Students regularly progress onto university courses for Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Accounting, Economics and Medicine, in addition to highly competitive apprenticeships.
Courses
The Departments offer the following courses:
A Level Maths (Pearson Edexcel)
A Level Further Maths (Pearson Edexcel)
GCSE Maths resits for students who have not yet received a grade 4 or above (Pearson Edexcel)
The successful candidate will be expected to teach primarily on the A Level Maths, but there may be opportunities to teach GCSE or Further Maths.
