About Us
The Wisbech Academy is a new 11-16 600-student (120 PAN) secondary school which opened for students in September 2024 to help meet growing demand for school places in Wisbech, North Cambridgeshire. The Wisbech Academy was approved to open by the Department for Education in 2021 and is the 12th school to join Brooke Weston Trust. The Trust has a close relationship with the local community and already runs the other secondary school, Thomas Clarkson Academy, and Peckover Primary School, in the town.
The school opened within the Thomas Clarkson Academy building in Phase One to provide additional capacity for 100 students in September 2024. The Phase One modular building will be built ready for September 2025 and located off of Weasenham Lane, immediately next to where the permanent new school building will be created. The new school will also be located next door to the existing Thomas Clarkson Academy, allowing the schools to share capacity and facilities to provide better opportunities for students and staff now and in the future.
Students and staff are expected to move into the new building in during the 2026/2027 academic year, subject to planning, where it will grow into a 120 PAN school.
