Job description
Filey Academy are looking to appoint a Teacher of MFL (Spanish) to join our academy in September 2026, on a part time, permanent basis.
Your new role
Are you looking for a role that will enable you to influence and inspire the children in your classes? Do you want to work for a Trust that is transforming educational outcomes for students in some of the most deprived areas in the North of England? If so, this could be the role for you.
Our Teacher of MFL role presents a brilliant opportunity to play a pivotal part in the improvement journey of our academy. Our Spanish results are strong and you will be able to enjoy teaching students who are keen to learn and who will value your enthusiasm and love of subject. Your Head of Department is ambitious for better and better outcomes for our students and she really believes in the joy and value of Spanish. Come and be a part of our team academy at this really exciting stage of our journey.
Our Curriculum
With a Spanish curriculum that is developed centrally and adapted by each academy, we are able to offer a robust, relevant and expertly created learning pathway. We have extensive materials for staff to use and adapt and we support students with regularly updated Knowledge Organisers. We also use online platforms to support learning such as Languagenut.
Your new school
Filey Academy is an 11-16 mixed community school serving the coastal town of Filey and its surrounding villages. We have a proud heritage in our local community and are embarking on a period of transformation and improvement. We aim for every member of our school community to develop a love of learning and enable them to reach the highest outcomes that they can. We are committed to ensuring our students are happy, safe and have clear direction and support. We joined Delta Academies Trust in September 2025 and benefit from the collaborative and supportive environment of the Trust.
How Will We Support You?
As part of Delta Academies Trust, you'll have access to ongoing CPD (both internally and externally) with the opportunity to further develop your skills and career alike. You'll join a large network of colleagues across the Trust, meaning there's collaboration and peer support both within our academy and beyond. You'll regularly have the opportunity to work alongside the Trust's Director of MFL, for instance, who supports the team with assessment, planning and intervention. You will also have access to an extensive range of employee benefits that focus on your financial, physical and mental wellbeing.
