The Role:
We are seeking and enthusiastic and passionate ECT Music Teacher or experienced Music Teacher to join our outstanding teaching team. You will be responsible for teaching Music to students across all key stages, with the potential of 6th form as part of the Performing Arts programme. You will deliver engaging, confidence building and inspirational lessons that develop understanding and engage our students in music making.
We are a future-thinking team, passionate about integrating technology with traditional teaching methods to shape the character, confidence and creativity of tomorrow's learners. Our aim is to encourage enthusiasm and promote a desire amongst students to explore the wider world through music and performing arts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality Music lessons to students in Years 7-11, adhering to the national curriculum.
  • Inspire students to engage deeply with reading, writing, listening and speaking.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing feedback to help them achieve their personal and academic goals.
  • Foster a classroom environment based on mutual respect, inclusivity, and a love of learning.
  • Participate in departmental and whole-school initiatives to promote performing arts and student development based on our values-based Strengths of Character model.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong subject knowledge of Music, with the ability to teach up to GCSE level.
  • A passion for teaching and learning, with a commitment to student progress and achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An understanding and appreciation of the school's Christian ethos and values.
