The Opportunity:
As a Lead Psychology Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the curriculum and inspiring students to think critically and creatively about human behavior. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the Psychology curriculum to ensure it is engaging, relevant, and meets the needs of all students.
Deliver high-quality, inspiring lessons that promote critical thinking and student engagement.
Collaborate with colleagues in the Social Sciences department to support student progress and academic achievement.
Monitor and assess student performance, providing targeted support where needed.
Contribute to the wider development of the Social Sciences department and school community.
Foster a culture of inclusion, respect, and high academic expectations.
Stay up to date with developments in the field of Psychology and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
Qualified teacher with experience in Psychology or a related subject.
Proven ability to lead and develop a curriculum.
Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
Commitment to student well-being and inclusive education.
Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational environment.
Preferred
Experience in leading a department or team.
Knowledge of current educational research and best practices in Psychology teaching.
Experience with pastoral care and student support.
Familiarity with Catholic values and ethos.
