We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher (SEN) to join our fantastic team at Grange School.



This is a permanent, full time role on Teaching terms starting January 2025 or sooner. The salary for this post is MPS-UPS plus SEN point 1.




Grange School is a vibrant and inclusive special school providing exceptional education for pupils aged EYFS to KS5 with Education, Health and Care Plans, diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). Teacher (SEN)

We're looking for applicants who:



Are qualified to teach and work in the UK with successful teaching experience, ideally within a SEN setting Have proven experience working with young people, particularly those with complex needs Are committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice Can plan and deliver personalised learning activities that meet diverse needs Able to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues Are enthusiastic, caring, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for all learners Are willing to contribute to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities

As a Teacher at Grange School, you will:



Deliver high-quality, personalised teaching and learning experiences Plan, assess and review lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports students' learning Contribute to the development of curriculum and teaching strategies Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers, and external agencies Support the wider school community and take an active role in school life Provide guidance on educational and social matters Monitor and assess pupil progress, ensuring rapid and sustained improvement Participate in school self-evaluation and improvement planning Uphold school policies and contribute to pastoral care and supervision Make an active contribution to the school's ongoing self-evaluation process

Grange School




The Grange School in Levenshulme, Manchester, provides 247 day places for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans, diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). Catering to pupils from EYFS to KS5, Grange offers a bespoke education through a stimulating environment and the Know and Remember Curriculum, ensuring access to the National Curriculum with engaging activities. Progress is tracked termly using a bespoke data system.


Grange also offers exciting curriculum enrichment activities, including an on-site farm with various animals and an enhanced learning area called Know Globes. Imagination Village allows pupils to practice real-world skills in settings like a post office, grocer's, and doctor's surgery.


For KS4 and KS5, the curriculum focuses on the world of work, offering accredited courses in English, maths, PSHE, and qualifications in areas like Active Sports and Leisure, Catering and Hospitality, and Construction.
