, part of Rethink Education Ltd, is looking for a passionate and committed SEMH Teacher to join our dedicated, values-led team from the spring or summer term 2026, depending on the successful applicant's availability.

We are an independent SEMH primary school for pupils in Key Stages 1 and 2, all of whom have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). At Moss View, we believe that every child deserves to be seen, heard, and supported to thrive.

The Role

As an SEMH Teacher at Moss View School, you will deliver a personalised, nurturing, and engaging curriculum tailored to the individual needs of each pupil. You'll play a pivotal role in helping young learners overcome barriers and develop confidence, both academically and emotionally.

You will work within a creative and flexible curriculum model, using Curriculum Maestro to plan, assess, and deliver thematic learning that supports holistic development and progression.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Planning and delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to SEMH needs Using Curriculum Maestro to design creative, cross-curricular units of learning Creating a safe, consistent, and emotionally intelligent classroom environment Using trauma-informed approaches to support behaviour and engagement Developing strong relationships with pupils, families, and multidisciplinary teams Contributing to personalised support plans and reviewing pupil progress Working collaboratively with Learning Mentors and support staff to maximise outcomes Maintaining accurate records and contributing to EHCP reviews

What we're looking for

Essential:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification Experience teaching pupils with SEMH or SEND in a specialist or mainstream setting Deep understanding of trauma-informed practice and positive behaviour support A child-centred, flexible, and empathetic approach A full, clear enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
Desirable:

Experience in a specialist SEMH or alternative provision setting Knowledge of EHCPs and multi-agency working Familiarity with restorative practices and therapeutic teaching strategies Experience using Curriculum Maestro or similar curriculum planning tools
