Programme Structure
Year 1 - Build Classroom Confidence as a Cover Supervisor

• Work full-time in a Bournemouth secondary school
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons and manage whole-class learning

• Observe experienced teachers and attend training sessions
• Develop professional confidence before entering formal training

This year provides practical insight into school life while building the skills needed to thrive as a trainee teacher.
Year 2 - Train to Teach: PGCE + QTS

• Begin your PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) through a university partner
• Work towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Continue working in school while completing your training
• Receive dedicated mentoring, academic guidance and structured development
• Take on teaching responsibilities with increasing independence
