Overall job purpose
To carry out the professional duties of a teacher as required by the professional standards for teachers as circumstances may require and in accordance with the school's policies under the direction of the Headteacher. To be responsible for the learning and achievement of pupils and ensuring equality of opportunity for all.

Skills and/or qualifications essential for the role:
Extensive experience of working in key stage 2 (years 5 and 6 ideally, but applications with year 3 and 4 experience will also be considered)
Experience of leading staff and/or department groups
Experience of planning and leading school priorities
Working effectively as part of a wider team
Fluent in Welsh and English
Skills and/or qualifications desired for the role:
Knowledge of recent ALN systems and arrangements
Knowledge and ownership of a range of various learning strategies
Further comments regarding the post's terms:
The candidate is expected to work as part of the year 5 and 6 team to co-plan a variety of themes and activities for the pupils.
