Salary: Pay Range: Would start at 25,000 and raise up to 31,000 per annum plus potential recruitment/retention/responsibility allowance (up to a further 5,000 per annum)

Hours per week: Full time (37.5 including rest breaks)

is a newly established Alternative Provision Centre in the heart of Bridgwater, dedicated to supporting young people with complex needs and supporting them to thrive. We are growing in size and now seek an additional member of staff who is a passionate and resilient educator to join us at the start of our journey and help shape a nurturing, impactful learning environment. Although there is scope within areas of expertise an ability to offer qualified coaching, Maths, Science or Arts would be preferable.

What you'll do



Deliver a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to individual learning needs

Provide one-to-one mentorship and build trusting relationships

Develop personalised pathways that foster growth, confidence, and achievement, which can be documented/evidenced

Teach across multiple settings in collaboration with partner organisations

Occasionally transport learners - therefore will need to be able to drive and have business insurance

What we're looking for



Proven ability to build respectful, positive relationships with young people

Experience working with vulnerable learners, including those with SEN, SEMH needs or previous trauma

A track record of implementing strategies that lead to measurable progress

Deep understanding of how young people learn and how to adapt teaching accordingly

Someone who is an active listener and works well within a team, showing adaptability, but willingly takes on responsibility to make decisions to improve student experiences

Someone who has an awareness of safeguarding and will prioritise the needs of a young person's welfare
