Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional learning needs (ALN) and special educational needs (SEN)?
We're working closely with Newport schools to recruit
dedicated Teaching Assistants
to support students in secondary school settings across
Newport and the surrounding areas
.
About the Role:
Supporting students aged 11-16 with a range of ALN and SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties.
Working 1:1 or in small groups to provide targeted learning support.
Assisting classroom teachers to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Promoting independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
Helping to implement personalised education and behaviour plans.
About You:
Previous experience supporting young people with SEN/ALN is desirable but not essential.
Patient, empathetic, and resilient with a genuine passion for education.
Confident working with secondary-aged pupils (11-16).
Able to work effectively as part of a team.
A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Right to work in the UK.
