Working Pattern: 32.5 hours per week, term time plus 5 days.
Band 3 13.26 (equated salary)*
Band 4 13.69 (equated salary)*
Payroll works out your equated salary using your weekly hours, the number of term-time plus days you work, the bank holidays, and your annual leave entitlement. This total is then divided by 12 to give you a consistent monthly salary throughout the year.*
If someone starts partway through the year (for example, in December), the original salary calculation assumes a full academic year's leave entitlement and bank holidays. Payroll therefore has to recalculate it based on what remains in the current leave year--how much annual leave is left, how many bank holidays are still to come, and how many INSET days remain. The difference between the full-year calculation and the adjusted part-year calculation is deducted from the salary.
