Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support classroom activities and foster an inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and students, particularly those with special educational needs, including children with autism and other disabilities. Duties



Assist teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities, ensuring all students are engaged and supported. Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to students requiring additional help, especially those with special educational needs. Support students with disabilities, including autism, by implementing tailored strategies to facilitate their participation in learning. Mentor students, encouraging positive behaviour and social skills development. Help manage behavioural challenges by applying appropriate techniques in collaboration with teaching staff. Prepare classroom materials and resources as required for lessons and activities. Monitor student progress and report observations to teachers to inform personalised learning plans. Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment that promotes respect and understanding among all pupils.

Qualifications



Prior experience working with children, particularly in educational or mentoring roles. Knowledge of special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with children, colleagues, and parents. Demonstrated patience, empathy, and organisational skills essential for supporting diverse learners. Experience with tutoring or mentoring is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided where necessary. A genuine passion for helping children succeed academically and socially. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 85.00-90.00 per day
