We're looking for a
dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant
to join our friendly secondary school inBexhill
.This is a
full-time role
startingimmediately
, supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role will involve working closely with teachers and supporting young people in and out of the classroom -- particularly those withautism and additional learning needs
.What you'll be doing:
Supporting students with autism and other special educational needs in lessons Helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment Providing one-to-one and small group support Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities Encouraging students to develop confidence, independence and social skills
What we're looking for:
Experience working with children or young people (ideally in a school setting) Experience or understanding of supporting students with autism (ASD) A patient, positive and flexible attitude Strong communication and teamwork skills GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths An enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply for one)
