The school is known for its nurturing environment, strong multi-disciplinary approach, and unwavering commitment to helping each pupil thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

The Role

We are seeking a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join the school's dedicated team. You will support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them access learning, build independence, develop communication, and engage positively with school life.

This is a highly rewarding role suited to someone who is patient, resilient, and passionate about making a meaningful impact on children's lives.

Key Responsibilities

Support pupils' communication, social development, emotional regulation, life skills and independence. Prepare resources and help maintain a calm, structured and supportive classroom environment. Work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff as part of a strong multi-disciplinary team. Encourage positive behaviour and contribute to pupils' well-being and personal development. Follow safeguarding protocols and contribute to regular progress reviews and observations.
About You

Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, nursery, care or community settings all considered). A warm, patient and compassionate approach, with the ability to build trusting relationships. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Resilience, adaptability and a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs. Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities. Any SEN-related training or qualifications (e.g., Autism, Makaton, Team Teach) is highly desirable but not essential.
What the School Offers

A welcoming, supportive SEN school with excellent staff retention. Ongoing training and development, with opportunities to grow your skills in SEN practice. A collaborative team environment and strong leadership support. A chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of children with additional needs.
