The Tradewind Recruitment Team in Cheshire West & Chester are recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a role at a local primary school in Chester to start as early as the 11th September.

The role is a full time position starting as early as next week to work at a primary school in Chester City Centre working as 1:1 Teaching assistant to support a young boy in Year 3 who has recently moved from an SEND school. The role requires someone with previous experience dealing with a similar 1:1 role working closely with a boy with autism and learning difficulties.

The ideal candidate must have previous experience working with SEND and show a strong resilient yet personable approach to ensuring the transition into a new school for this pupil is as smooth as possible.

The role is to start as early next week and the school would like to meet and trial for this role before a decision is made. The role is to carry on throughout the academic year to enable the full support for this pupil. The daily rate starts from \xc2\xa380 a day and can be negotiated on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may require additional help.
• Help create and maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support students with special educational needs and adapt teaching materials as needed.
• Assist in the assessment and tracking of student progress.
• Supervise and support students during lunchtime and break periods.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff members to ensure the well-being and success of all students.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills.

To be considered from his role, we will need -

• Proof of Right to Work, this could be your Passport or Birth Certificate.
• A CV that covers 10 years of education or employment.
• A fully enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to process one with us. (We will refund the cost of the DBS)
