Flexible Day-to-Day Cover Teaching Assistants

You will receive a competitive daily rate of \xc2\xa376-\xc2\xa396, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Role:

As a flexible day-to-day cover teacher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity of education in the absence of regular teaching staff due to sickness. You will have the opportunity to work with students of various age groups and abilities, promoting their academic, social, and emotional development. Your adaptability, patience, and ability to build rapport with students will be key to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the delivery of pre-planned lessons and maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Following the school\'s behaviour management policies and procedures
  • Providing individualised support and assistance to students with special educational needs
  • Collaborating with teachers, teaching assistants and other staff to meet the individual needs of students
  • Maintaining accurate records of students\' progress and reporting back to the regular class teacher

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:
  • Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Strong understanding of the individual needs associated with MLD, SLD, ASD, sensory impairments, and physical disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children\'s development.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Teaching Assistant qualification, CACHE Level 3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
