Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support the class teacher, within our Islamic organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and pupil, and those with any educational needs, to foster an inclusive and nurturing learning environment. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in education. The role requires a proactive approach, strong communication skills, Islamic knowledge, and a genuine passion for supporting learners' development.

Responsibilities

Assist teachers in delivering lesson plans and educational activities tailored to individual pupil needs embedding the Islamic ethos. Support pupils with any needs, ensuring they are engaged and comfortable during lessons. Provide one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to help pupils improve their academic performance and confidence. Foster a positive learning environment by encouraging participation and supporting behavioural management strategies. Help organise classroom materials and resources, ensuring a safe and stimulating space for all learners. Communicate effectively with pupils, teachers, and parents to monitor progress and address any concerns. Support pupils by adapting activities as necessary to meet their needs.

Skills

Experience working with children in an Islamic educational setting. Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for supporting students with special needs. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding when supporting learners with additional needs. Tutoring or mentoring experience is advantageous, showcasing your ability to motivate and guide students. Organised approach to managing classroom resources and supporting lesson delivery. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and young people through education and support services.
