Warmsworth Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join the team and make a difference for children, particularly those with additional needs.
Warmsworth is a large mainstream primary school, providing education for children aged between 3 and 11 years old. Our inclusive ethos means that we are supporting an increasingly higher number of children with additional needs, sometimes very complex, and we need additional staffing to best meet the needs of these children.
The Governors of Warmsworth Primary School wish to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our support team. The successful candidate will be working under the instruction and guidance of teaching staff to support teaching and learning in classrooms to work with both individuals with additional needs to provide personalised support, and larger groups of children.
This post will also include supporting children through the lunchtime period in a midday supervisor role.
The successful candidate will:

Be a team player with high standards of themselves and others
Have experience, or an interest and understanding, of supporting primary aged children and Special Educational Needs and Disability
Be able to lead learning in groups of children
Have good literacy and numeracy skills
(GCSE English and Mathematics to Grade C or above, or equivalent)
