Are you passionate about improving the life chances of young people? Are you ambitious, passionate about the education of children and looking for a new challenge? This is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to use their skills and individuality and support us in our continuing journey of improvement.

Our ideal candidate will be:

Adaptable and Flexible:

No two days in a primary school are the same. Our Teaching Assistants need to be adaptable and ready to switch between different tasks and priorities, whether it's supporting a small group, working one-on-one with a pupil, or assisting with classroom administration.

Able to work as part of a team:

Our Teaching Assistants are an integral part of the school team. They must be able to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff. A proactive attitude is highly valued--taking the initiative to anticipate needs, offer assistance, and find ways to improve the learning experience without constant direction.

Have a high level of literacy and Numeracy Skills:

While not required to have the same specialist subject knowledge as a teacher, a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy is essential for helping pupils with core curriculum activities like reading and math.

Able to implement our Behaviour Management strategies:

Our Teaching Assistants understand how behaviour is linked to learning and emotional well-being.

Have a good

Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN):

With inclusive education being standard practice, you will need to have an awareness of diverse learning needs. Experience or training in this area is a significant advantage.

Have a Passion for Working with Children:

A genuine enthusiasm for helping children succeed is the most fundamental quality. Our teaching Assistants play a critical role in fostering a positive learning environment.
